VLC for windows exceeds 1 million downloads since launch. 

The main developer of the VLC app for windows phone has revealed that the media player has been downloaded over one million times since it launched. The news was revealed on Sunday by developer Thomas Nigro via his twitter account. The first private beta for VLC on windows phone launched in December 2014, but that version later leaked to the public. The beta tag was removed from the app in March. In a follow-up message, Nigro confirmed that they dropped beta label and went public with the VLC app, it has seen over 800,000 downloads from the windows phone store. Its also now a universal app, sharing code with the windows 8.1/windows 10 version.

Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 is now available for the BLU Win HD LTE

Microsoft told us last month that not all handsets will be upgraded to the latest non preview of its mobile OS, Windows Phone 8.1 update 2. But after Verizon rolled it out to its HTC One M8 for Windows last week, another device is now getting the updates. Over the weakend, update 2 began to roll out to the BLU Win HD LTE, as windows central reports. The lumia 830 will also get the update in the united states, and the lumia 735 - which will soon launch exclusively on Verizon, over eight months after the device was first announced - is expected to come with GDR2 pre-installedMicrosoft's new lumia 640 and lumia 640 XL which it unveiled at Mobile World congress 2015 back in March, were the first device to ship with update 2 onboard.While update 2 is rolling out to the win HD LTE now, BLU products has also confirmed on its site that the device will eventually upgraded to window 10 mobile
